For nearly 60 years jazz has been an important part of my life. It started in the early 1960s with my first Chris Barber LP. Since then, through records, radio and TV, plus occasional trips to pubs, clubs and concert halls, I have broadened and deepened my interest in the music. My philosophy is that any jazz, vintage or modern, is worthy of consideration. Good jazz is good jazz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reg Rigden<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n An article based on an interview in 1989 with Reg Rigden, trumpeter with pioneering “revivalist” jazz band George Webb’s Dixielanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cambridge University Jazz Club <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n A piece of current research on the history of the Cambridge University Jazz Club which was in operation from the 1940s to 1977.
